Summary

Everyone's life is governed by an internal code of conduct。 Some call it morality。 Others call it religion。 But Bros in the know call this holy grail the Bro Code。

Historically a spoken tradition passed from one generation to the next, the official code of conduct for Bros appears here in its published form for the first time ever。 By upholding the tenets of this sacred and legendary document, any dude can learn to achieve Bro-dom。

Barney'in dilinden okuyunca eğlenceli, hoouup diye bitiyor。 Sadece biraz boş geldi, keşke sayfalar boşu boşuna iki yazı için kaplanmasaydı。 :/ Barney'in dilinden okuyunca eğlenceli, hoouup diye bitiyor。 Sadece biraz boş geldi, keşke sayfalar boşu boşuna iki yazı için kaplanmasaydı。 :/ 。。。more

From the title and author, you might assume this book is a misogynistic, objectifying, Austin Powers-esque invective。 But it’s really not。 Better titled “Barney’s Book of Virtues,” this guide is the 21st century successor to the Carnegie classic “How to Win Friends and Influence People。” I wouldn’t be surprised if major corporations, sports teams, and even governments use it to replace their existing sensitivity training。

Divertentissimo, must have per i fan di HIMYM。

A great explanation of the rules that underly modern societies。 Top secret。 But good。

It's funny to remember some scenes from the series, especially since now it's been something like ten years。 The book is okay, it makes roll your eyes some times and honestly laugh others。 It's funny to remember some scenes from the series, especially since now it's been something like ten years。 The book is okay, it makes roll your eyes some times and honestly laugh others。 。。。more

Esta bien si te gusta el personaje y entiendes el humor。

This took less than a week to complete however I recall starting it on Christmas day 2 years ago。 I never got around to finishing it and only read the first ten pages or so, I was 15 back then and probably didn't grasp the concept of chicks as well as I do now。 I, in fact, thought that this was in my currently reading pile and hence why I picked it up recently。 If you haven't noticed, the goal for this year is to decrease the currently reading amount of books to about 70 from 120。 I would also w This took less than a week to complete however I recall starting it on Christmas day 2 years ago。 I never got around to finishing it and only read the first ten pages or so, I was 15 back then and probably didn't grasp the concept of chicks as well as I do now。 I, in fact, thought that this was in my currently reading pile and hence why I picked it up recently。 If you haven't noticed, the goal for this year is to decrease the currently reading amount of books to about 70 from 120。 I would also wish to complete my reading goal this year as it's been a long time since I managed to complete it even though I keep increasing the number of books every time I reach my goal and then ultimately don't manage the final two books or so。。。This book was a cool read although not as insightful regarding women as I was hoping for it to be。 Of course I've known that this is Barney's interpretation of women in this miserable and pathetic world for a long time now but I thought that this would feel more like the playbook。 I don't have the latter book yet or intend on buying it or for instance know whether it exists or not。 Let me know if you do please。 It comprises of about 140 articles dictating how bros should treat each other and the rules they should never break unless wishing to suffer the dire consequences of not being bros anymore。 Many of these are hilarious however all of them are made up and in fact sound like they'd be very accommodating to Barney himself and not to any other bros unless we consider the ones that Ted suggested in the show and Barney wrote down in his sacred tome。 It's also funny how seriously he takes such rules in the entire series and the book and the book is clearly based around the series not the other way around。 The illustrations are also hilarious and resemble caricatures。 We also see Ted and Marshall。 As a huge fan of the show, I was not disappointed with this book however I wasn't too enthusiastic about anything else after it finished。 The way these articles are presented by Neil Patrick Harris in the show is definitely better than the way they were written by Barney Stinson in this one。 However since Barney is my bro and my wingman I'm going to blame Matt Kuhn, his fault that I rated this book 3 stars Bro! My girlfriend is also emerging from the dark after having watched a few seasons of the show after all this time of me nagging her to do so。 I also respect her needs to study and do her utmost to get top grades however the show can't be missed。 We were fortunate enough to exist in the period of time in which How I met your mother was made。。。 I loved how there's a costume called Slutty slut which was a girl Barney dated on Halloween, pretty sure she was a real prostitute but it was never specified and either way it's weird。 I'm turning 18 in 3 weeks and can't wait to take my relationship with Sarah to the next level。 I also enjoyed how this was such a quick read and how the producers of the show made sure that the articles that were mentioned in the show were also in this book。 I believe the final 6 seasons weren't out yet when this book was published so The Bro Code 2 sequel is something I look forward to although there's not much hope of seeing it published anymore。 The play on words and the bro vocabulary at the end was fantastic and cracked me up。 It's also scary not to break the rules since there are so many of them and they're so easy to forget。 In fact, I believe it's not such a memorable book and you could only remember what it's about when somebody brings it up and starts speaking about it in general。 It's not going to stick with me for a very long time but I won't forget the smiles in this troublesome time。。。 。。。more

Well。。。it's mostly a funny book because it's about the show How I Met Your Mother –well, some content in it– and Barney Stinson, who is, well, one of the main characters, explains these –stupid but funny– rules a bro should follow。 It's not really funny if you haven't watched the show but, if you have, it could be funny! I personally really liked it, and I would definetly recomend it to HIMYM fans。 So yeah, four stars。 Well。。。it's mostly a funny book because it's about the show How I Met Your Mother –well, some content in it– and Barney Stinson, who is, well, one of the main characters, explains these –stupid but funny– rules a bro should follow。 It's not really funny if you haven't watched the show but, if you have, it could be funny! I personally liked it a lot because it's on How I Met Your Mother, a TV show I love。 It's very funny, but if you haven't watched the show it won't be。 But if you have, I think it could be really funny and it's also very easy to read。。。 well, that's my opinion。 I personally liked it a lot because it's on How I Met Your Mother, a TV show I love。 It's very funny, but if you haven't watched the show it won't be。 But if you have, I think it could be really funny and it's also very easy to read。。。 well, that's my opinion。 。。。more

Хотела разгрузить мозг и читать хотя бы какое-то подобие книги вместо ленты фейсбука。 Зачем - не знаю, но задокументирую прочитанное здесь и напомню себе не пытаться исправить reading slump такими книгами。 Не поможет хехе
